FROM GLOBAL TO LOCAL
Goal 12 promotes sustainable consumption and production to protect our planet and ensure future generations can thrive. If current trends continue, we’ll need the resources of nearly three Earths by 2050.
We must shift to sustainable energy, reduce waste—especially the 931 million tons of food wasted annually—and embrace circular economy practices like reusing, recycling, and designing products for longevity.
Governments, businesses, and individuals all have a role to play. From enforcing smart policies to choosing eco-friendly products and reducing plastic use, every action counts in building a more sustainable world.
