Founded by The Peace School in 1978, Peace Day has been uniting communities and cultures across our city for nearly five decades. 

Since the UN established the International Day of Peace in 1981, Chicago has stood in solidarity, celebrating diversity, unity, and our shared commitment to a more peaceful world.
