Through various task forces and projects, UNA-Chicago strives to improve public awareness and participation in global issues. The vision of The United Nations Association of the United States of America is “A world in which humanity is spared the scourge of war, human rights are honored, the natural environment is protected and the United States is a constructive member of the United Nations for the well-being of all humankind." In conjunction with the UNA-USA organization, we hope to establish a strong and dynamic United Nations which will work in collaborative fashion with a strong and widely accepted United States. Our vision in the Greater Chicago Area is increasing engagement of the general public and local organizations in making the United States and the United Nations effective partners.
