Women and the U.N.: Power, Progress, and Modern Day Slavery

As part of Dominican University's International Week, they and United Nations Association-USA Greater Chicago Chapter would like to recognize women advocates and their efforts.

Speaker: Monica Uribe of United Nations Association USA Chicago's Chicago Kent School of Law Chapter

Monica Uribe received her bachelor's degree in music performance from Baylor University and is currently a first year law student at Chicago-Kent College of Law, where she is earning a Certificate in International and Comparative Law and is a member of the Kent Law Chapter of UNA-USA. During her undergraduate studies, Monica served as a delegate on the Inter-American Committee on Human Rights in the Model Organization of American States. Monica is a member of UNA-USA because of her strong interests in international human rights, human trafficking, and foreign policy.

Symposium honoring Adlai Stevenson II

The United Nations Association-USA Greater Chicago Chapter and the Adlai Stevenson Center on Democracy cordially invite you, your family and friends to join us at a symposium honoring Adlai Stevenson II and his impact on the United Nations. The symposium will take place at the Northwestern Law School, Lincoln Hall, 375 E Chicago Avenue, on November 15 from 7-8:30, with a reception from 8:30 to 9:30 pm.

The event will be moderated by: A. Edward Elmendorf, President, UNA-USA and former aid to Adlai Stevenson II, in 1965 at the United Nations.
