This Wednesday (April 6, 2005) a town hall meeting will be held on the topic *The United Nations and Global Security.*
In light of Kofi Annan's recent report on U.N. reform, the event will look at how the U.N. and the international system more broadly can be reformed to better meet the security needs of the 21st Century. The event will feature Patrick Callahan, DePaul University Professor and Author of The Logics of American Foreign Policy; Douglass Cassel, Director, Northwestern Center for International Human Rights; and David E. Guinn, Executive Director, International Human Rights Law Institute. The event will take place from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. this Wednesday (04/06/2005) in Room 109 of University of Chicago's Biological Sciences Learning Center at 924 E. 57th Street in Chicago, IL 60637. Free pizza will be served.
